【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestheminimumperformancerequirementsinbiologicaltestsforproductsforcurativeusesagainstspecificwooddestroyingorganisms.Itspecifiesthebiologicaltestsrequiredtogetherwiththeperformancecriteriatobeachievedineachtest.Chemicalsagainstinsectscanactaccordingtotheirspecificpropertieswithinashorttime(fastacting)oronlyafteralongperiod(slowactingorwithadeferredeffect).Differenttestsandperformancerequirementsareneededforthesevarioustypesofcurativewoodpreservatives.ThisEuropeanStandardisapplicabletoallwoodpreservativeproductssuppliedforapplicationinliquidformforcurativeusesagainstattackbywoodattackinginsects,excludingtermites.ThisEuropeanStandardisalsoapplicableforproductsappliedtopreventgrowthofdryrotfungusthroughmasonry.ThisEuropeanStandardisalsoapplicabletoproductsforcurativeusessuppliedforapplicationaspastes,solidsorincapsuleformbutonlywhereappropriatebiologicalmethodsoftestexistaspublishedEuropeanStandardsorasnormativeannexestothisEuropeanStandard.NOTE1ThenatureofthelaboratorytestsrequiredinthisEuropeanStandardissuchthatthetimerequiredtogeneratedataismanymonthssometimesmorethanoneyear,dependinguponthetypeofproductandtheorganism(s)itisintendedtobeusedagainst.Therefore,atthedateofpublicationofthisEuropeanStandard,formanyproductscoveredunderitsscopealreadyplacedonthemarketandusedlawfullyinaccordancewithlocaltechnicaltraditions,theminimumdataspecifiedinthisstandardmaynotbeavailable.Accordingly,foraperiodnotexceeding3yearsfromthedateofpublicationofthisEuropeanStandard,nationalstandardsorganisations,oranorganisationnominatedbythemmaydeclareinterimeffectivevaluesforusewithintheirterritories,toapplytoproductsalreadyplacedonthemarketandusedlawfullyinaccordancewithlocaltraditionsatthedateofuseofthisEuropeanStandard.NOTE2Forre-testingaftermakingvariationsinproductformulation,guidanceisgiveninannexA.ThisEuropeanStandardisnotapplicabletoproductsusedasfumigants.ThisEuropeanStandardisalsonotapplicablefordeterminingwhetherspecificcurativeproducts,usedaloneorincombination,areeffectiveinconferringlong-termpreventiveactionagainstattackbywooddestroyingorganismsinthefuture.PreventiveeffectivenesscanbedeterminedusingEN599-1butonlyforproductswhosenatureallowthemtobetestedusingthemethodsandinterpretativeproceduresdefinedinEN599-1.AmendmentsofexistingtestmethodscitedinEN599-1maybeusedbutonlywhendefinedinnormativeannexestothisEuropeanStandard.
