【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesgeneralguidelinesfortheproperpracticeofgaschromatographycoupledwithinfraredspectrophotometricdetectionandanalysis(GC/IR).Thispracticeassumesthatthechromatographyinvolvedinthepracticeisadequatetoseparatethecompoundsofinterest.Itisnottheintentionofthispracticetoinstructtheuserhowtoperformgaschromatographyproperly.1.1Thispracticecoverstechniquesthatareofgeneraluseinanalyzingqualitativelymulticomponentsamplesbyusingacombinationofgaschromatography(GC)andinfrared(IR)spectrophotometrictechniques.ThemixtureisseparatedintoitsindividualcomponentsbyGCandthentheseindividualcomponentsareanalyzedbyIRspectroscopy.TypesofGC-IRtechniquesdiscussedincludeeluenttrapping,flowcell,andeluitedeposition.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
