【摘要】:Theserequirementscoverbackflowspecialcheckvalvesof3/4-inch(19.1-mm)through10-inch(254-mm)nominalpipesizeusedinpipingsystemssupplyingwaterforfireprotectionservice.ThebackflowspecialcheckvalvescoveredbytheserequirementsareintendedforinstallationanduseinaccordancewiththeStandardsfor:a)LowExpansionFoamandCombinedAgentSystems,NFPA11;b)InstallationofSprinklerSystems,NFPA13;c)InstallationofStandpipeandHoseSystems,NFPA14;d)WaterSprayFixedSystemsforFireProtection,NFPA15;e)DelugeFoam-WaterSprinklerandSpraySystems,NFPA16;f)InstallationofCentrifugalFirePumps,NFPA20;g)WaterTanksforPrivateFireProtection,NFPA22;andh)InstallationofPrivateFireServiceMainsandTheirAppurtenances,NFPA24.Aproductthatcontainsfeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsnewordifferentfromthosecoveredbytherequirementsinthisstandardandthatinvolveariskoffire,electricshock,orinjurytopersonsshallbeevaluatedusingtheappropriateadditionalcomponentandend-productrequirementsasdeterminednecessarytomaintaintheacceptablelevelofsafetyasoriginallyanticipatedbytheintentofthisstandard.Aproductwhosefeatures,characteristics,components,materials,orsystemsconflictwithspecificrequirementsorprovisionsofthisstandardcannotbejudgedtocomplywiththisstandard.Whereconsideredappropriate,revisionofrequirementsshallbeproposedandadoptedinconformancewiththemethodsemployedfordevelopment,revision,andimplementationofthisstandard.
