【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheevaluationoftheshearstabilityofpolymer-containingfluids.Thetestmethodmeasurestheviscosityloss,inmm/sandpercent,at100?Cofpolymer-containingfluidswhenevaluatedbyadieselinjectorapparatusprocedurethatusesEuropeandieselinjectortestequipment.Theviscositylossreflectspolymerdegradationduetoshearatthenozzle.Viscositylossisevaluatedafterboth30and90cyclesofshearing.Note1-Thistestmethodevaluatestheshearstabilityofoilsafterboth30and90cyclesofshearing.Formostoils,thereisacorrelationbetweenresultsafter30cyclesandresultsafter90cyclesofshearing,butthisisnotuniversal.Note2-TestMethodD6278usesessentiallythesameprocedurewith30cyclesonlyinsteadofboth30and90cycles.Thecorrelationbetweenresultsfromthistestmethodat30cyclesandresultsfromTestMethodD6278hasnotbeenestablished.Note3-TestMethodD2603hasbeenusedforsimilarevaluationofshearstability;limitationsareasindicatedinthesignificancestatement.Nodetailedattempthasbeenundertakentocorrelatetheresultsofthistestmethodwiththoseofthesonicsheartestmethod.Note4-ThistestmethodusestestapparatusasdefinedinCECL-14-A-93.ThistestmethoddiffersfromCEC-L-14-A-93intheperiodoftimerequiredforcalibration.Note5-TestMethodD5275alsoshearsoilsinadieselinjectorapparatusbutmaygivedifferentresults.Note6-ThistestmethodhasdifferentcalibrationandoperationalrequirementsthanwithdrawnTestMethodD3945.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecificwarningstatementsaregiveninSection8.
